Our 2009 Stewardship Emphasis… Education
We realize that not everyone is in the same place when it comes to Stewardship. It can be a difficult concept to understand. In reality, education in this area should be a lifelong journey.  The Stewardship subject is one of the most talked about in the Bible. There are over 2,300 references to finances and how God wants us to handle them. If God thinks it is that important, we probably need to pay attention.

To that end, during this year’s Stewardship emphasis, we are asking you to study the concept of Stewardship. And we’re going to give you a programmed way to do so. This is all that will be asked of you in the way of a "pledge" this year.

The Stewardship team has created a program which is divided into three levels:

Level One: Reading or listening to suggested books. Click [here] for full list.
                Children's books [here]

Level Two: Participation in small group studies. Click [here] for full list.

Level Three: Becoming a course leader. Click [here] for full list

Don’t consider this a stair-step approach; where each level must be completed before moving to the next one. The levels do represent a greater level of commitment and greater opportunity to gain insight into this important spiritual concept.

The vision is for this to be an enduring education program. Each year, the Stewardship Team will provide an update to the recommended information as new, more current material becomes available. We believe this educational program will be a catalyst to enhance our members’ walk, and be a cornerstone of our process to “Make More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ.”
